In my bachelor degree thesis I wanted to deal with the topic of soundtracking in the cinematographic field of an audiovisual product, focusing on the perceptive aspects and the practical realization of noise: the so-called Foley Art. The sequence chosen is taken from an episode of an original Netflix series entitled “Samurai Gourmet”. The art and truth of this profession are in the purity of the gesture itself. It is all about recreate every sound, every shade of history, using many types of materials hidden in a room, from a tub of water to a grain of sand. The noise recreated by Foley artists uses fiction to come to life. Their ability is to speak to our mind, to do it secretly, without letting us know and it is admirable.
